Hey friends! Another Friday Favorites coming ‘atcha!
First run of 2020 //
My goal was 3 miles I made it 2.5… I’m going to take that as a win because I haven’t ran in months! I’m going to try and run 10 5ks this year to keep me accountable to run. I need it especially in the winter when its freezing outside and then in the summer once it gets scorching! My leggings are from Aerie like a million years ago but they are still one of my absolute favorite pairs! Aerie always has really cute patterns & they are so comfy, not to mention super affordable!
How cute are these leopard print leggings & these camouflage leggings?! Both are 30% off right now!
Books //
I couldn’t choose just one book for Friday Favorites this week – both of these are absolutely worth the read but oh so different!
The Couple Next Door: Without giving too much away, a couples baby is kidnapped in the middle of the night and you spend the whole book figuring out who did and why. I read it almost entirely during one nap. I could not put it down. Shari Lapena is one of my favorite fiction writers. If you love a good mystery & quick page turner, this is a great one! PS If you are a mama & you are afraid that this is going to be too sad, I’ll let you know I didn’t cry, if that helps your decision…
Mom Up: I made it a January goal to finish this book – not because it wasn’t good, I just didn’t make time to read at all during the holidays. I’m so glad I picked it back up though, it is really really good! It’s all about thriving in the craziness of motherhood. She weaves truth from the Bible throughout that book & I found myself writing down in my Daily Deposit several of the verses she highlighted. It’s divided up into chapters that take 15 min to read (at the most) & they are all so applicable to motherhood! The author even gives you questions to answer at the end of each chapter and Take Action steps to implement what you learn. This would be good option to read solo, in a women’s/mom group, or with a fellow mama for some extra accountability.
Eats //
Daiya Vegan Mac & Cheese: If you have little ones with food allergies & you are in the market for a quick lunch/dinner option – this genius creation is for you! It’s free of dairy, soy, & gluten. I know what your thinking, what’s even made of then…? It’s made with rice pasta & pea protein (for the cheese), sounds weird, right? But I promise its actually delish & Ro begs for this every week. He is on a modified keto diet (this is definitely not keto, but we try to cycle his carb intake and so far this hasn’t seemed to effect his seizures! yay!)
Hello Fresh: This could make the favorites list every week because at our house, this is the saver of dinners & my sanity! Most of the meals are made in under 30 minutes & I don’t have to go grocery shopping or meal plan 3 nights of the week! HUGE WIN! We have been using Hello Fresh for over a year now & I can honestly say there may have been 2 meals ever we were not really into. Everything else has been so delicious!
Here are our top 3 absolute favorite Hello Fresh meals we ALL love (even Ro!):
- Chickpea- Powered Mediterranean Couscous
- Cherry Balsamic Chicken
- Crispy Chickpea Tabbouleh Bowls
- Turkey & Butternut Squash Chili
- Mediterranean Salmon

Style Steal of the Week //
How amazing is this dupe?! Target for the win, always! I could only find them online and the arrived 2 days ago. To say I’m in love is an understatement. See them in all their glory here. They do run big so I recommend sizing a 1/2 size down. I am still in the 3 day comfort testing phase but so far they feel great. They are a little stiff at first but by day two they already felt so much better! They also come in a leopard print version too! If I didn’t already have 2 other leopard print sneakers I would have snagged those too! Styling wise- both are neutrals in my option and have endless wear options! Also, speaking of Target….
I posted a quick little Target try-on session earlier this week! So many cute options that you can layer now and then easily transition into Spring! If you missed it, check it out here.
Impromptu Date Night //
Thanks to MiMI we were able to sneak out for a couple of hours Sunday to our new favorite local restaurant, Cherry Street Brewing Company, in the Halcyon. The atmosphere is awesome, the PB & J burger is to.die.for & the Cherry Gose sour beer is my favorite! The buffalo chicken dip & buffalo chicken flatbread are also quite delicious!
Okay that’s all I’ve got this week for Friday Favorites! Your turn!
Tell me one favorite moment, item, food, etc… from your week!
If you are local to North Atlanta, have you checked out the Halcyon yet?
